The Indian community in Texas has been left shaken by the killing. A fundraiser created to assist Nagamallaiah’s grieving family has already surpassed $321,000, reflecting widespread support and sympathy. His funeral took place on 13 September in Flower Mound, Texas, where friends and relatives gathered to pay their respects.
This case has reignited the political debate over border control and immigration policies in the United States, with Trump promising the “fullest prosecution” of the accused and doubling down on his demand for tougher enforcement.
